Neuenhauser's DispoSpin Z100 palletizing unit can be used in yarn package handling and storage. Packages are transferred to a robotic conveyor with a lifting and turning mechanism. At the palletizing unit, a multiple grab engages the packages individually or up to several at a time and deposits them in a pre-determined stacking pattern in the pallets. A travelling cassette automatically inserts card separators that can have different perforation patterns. A shunt feeder or a travelling distributor loads and removes pallets. Throughput of pallets can be continuous. The pallet buffer store permits access to the pallets. The pallets stand on spacers that are pushed together by pneumatic and hydraulic controls.
