Long-staple yarn production machinery displayed at ITMA 1991 is reviewed. Tow conversion machines, displayed at ITMA 1991 are reviewed. Seydel surprised the industry with its display of a crush cutting converter that produces quality sliver with a minimum of neps and bundles. Seydel also showed stretch breaking machines and converters. Schlumberger showed a crush cutting machines. HDB displayed a complete fiber preparation line. Temafa showed its Mixmaster blending unit. NSC-Thibeau, HDB, Hollingsworth, Octir, Bematic, and Ththam exhibited carding equipment. Grossenhainer, Lummus Mackie, Novastir, Sant'Andrea Novara, Savi/Cognetex, and Schlumberger, among others, displayed drawframes.
