Researchers used the X(2) test to study the goodness of fit of graphs for the learning values and test values for the relative error published in a paper on the use of neural networks to simulate the spinning process by Pynckels and his coworkers. Results showed that the distribution of relative errors was a Poisson distribution. Other distributions tested, such as the Erland, gamma, Laplace, and logistic, did not fit with the learning value distribution. 3 refs.
