Morel's new conditioning unit combines conditioning and waxing processes for cheeses and cones. The device is available in semi-automatic or fully automatic versions. Single and twin tub models are also available. It is possible to condition 110 to 220 packages per hour, depending on the chosen model. Packages up to 6 inch traverse and 290 millimeter diameter are normally processed, but the equipment will also handle the 10 inch traverse packages now commonly used in the carpet trade. The conditioning unit uses a special conditioning liquid (Morel Opeco Conditioning Agent), which rapidly penetrates the yarn layers and sets the twist as it migrates. The Opeco Conditioning Agent also contains an anti-mildew agent to protect the yarn during extended storage periods.
