Data Processing systems, operating in conjunction with electronic monitoring and control systems, have emerged as a vital component of automated and integrated yarn production. Several trends in data processing for spinning mills are apparent: data processing systems are being used by management for planning and supervisory functions, online displays and equipment interfaces are becoming more user friendly, data recording and analysis are becoming highly automated, and productivity and product quality are improving. Data processing, control, and monitoring systems for spinning preparation, ring spinning, rotor spinning, winding, doubling, twisting, product development, and materials transportation are described.
