Reiter and Zellweger Uster have collaborated to produce a computerized interface between increasingly complicated spinning machinery and the workers charged with its operation. As the spinning process becomes more automated, fewer individuals supervise a wider variety of more sophisticated machines. Ringdata 4-R makes full reports on the status of each machine available to a centralized LAN that distributes the information instantly. Authorized users can even control the operation of the machines from terminals--without leaving the Ringdata 4-R terminal.In its present state, Ringdata 4-R requires a system using the G5/2 ring spinner and the ROBOfil thread preparer.
