The influence of modern design features on the maintenance of ring frames, speedframes and drawframes is assessed. The latest modifications to ring spinning frames from Zinser, Rieter, Toyota and Suessen are described in some detail. Many of these design features work as well on speedframes and drawframes. Improvements specifically for speedframes from Zinser and Toyota and for drawframes on Zinser and Trutzschler machinery are also outlined.
