Schappe Techniques are currently producing yarns made from a core of long staple fibres that are covered by a wrap of short staple fibres. During twisting a considerable bond is formed between two components making the yarns highly resistant to abrasion. Schappe Techniques adds that it has also developed hosiery yarns for knitting into protective gloves.
