Howa machinery Limited exhibited its UAM ring spinning machine at ITMA 1999. Th UAM features a direct drive system; a special damper spindle for quiet machine operation; flexible speed changes; traveler break-in control; reliable automatic doffing with an incorporated yarn catching device; and an auxiliary triple draft apron. Other Howa machinery includes carding machines, high speed drawing machines, combing machines, lap forming machines, roving machines, ring spinning machines, rapier looms, and yarn transportation systems.
