Houget Duesberg Bosson's Servolap high performance monitoring system features centralized computer controls for easy management of all attached machines and auxiliary equipment. An isotopic ray continuously measures the yarn ahead of the feeder rolls. A scintillator tube converts the residual radiation into electronic signals for analysis. A control panel displays yarn density, processing speeds, real time production values, and end product mass. The Servolap has applications in woolen, worsted, semiworsted, and open end spinning systems, as well as in nonwoven fabric manufacturing lines. Diagrams illustrate configurations of spinning lines and the positioning of the Servolap.
