The growth in open end yarns has allowed spinning manufacturers to operate at a maximum number of production hours. This growth has involved jersey and fleece, polyester and cotton blends, and specialty yarns such as Nomex and Kevlar. The variations in prices for combed versus carded cotton, acrylic, polyester, and cotton and synthetic blends are discussed.
