The Suessen-Novibra NASA applies the principle of impedance barrier to reduce the amount of vibration transferred to the spindle rail by the spindle, thus resulting in a spindle that operates more quietly than those of more conventional design. The shaft diameter of the spinning spindle has been reduced from the common 7.8 millimeters to 6.8 millimeters, resulting in substantial energy savings. A patented neck bearing design eliminates spindle rising. The assembly can perform at speeds of 30,000 rpm and above.
