Test were performed on 10s, 14s, and 20s count cotton yarns to study the relationship between ply and CSP. There was a steep increase in CSP up to 3-ply, then a gradual reduction in increments of CSP from 4-ply to 9-ply. For finer counts, the increase in CSP after plying was slightly higher than in the coarser counts. 1 ref.
