Lummus Mackie has developed a system for automating preyarn processing on semi-worsted spinning lines. The system consists of a card with draw head, two Speedmack chain gills, and two automated Rove Draw Finisher spindle drawframes. The drawframes feed eight Ringtron ring spinning frames, which are linked to automatic winders. The system is suitable for yarn counts between 143 and 55 tex.
