The decision to automate spinning machines depends on a range of factors, particularly labor costs and the logistics involved in installation. A review of the components required for rational automation focuses on products from Zinser and describes a roving machine with an automatic doffer, its drive concept, the Ro-We-Mat 670 roving machine, the 350 spinning machine, the Synchro-Drive and Synchro-Draft mechanisms fitted on the 350, the Fix-Flow with CIM Track 1 and the Flex-Flow with CIM Track 3 transport systems, and the Autoconer winding machines. The addition of centralized computer control increases productivity and product quality.
