Selection of solutions for spinning the latest generation of fibres (Spanish) (Seleccion de cursores para hilar fibras de la ultima generacion)

Experiments were carried out to determine the most suitable solutions for spinning a fire-resistant polyester, a modacrylic fibre and a blend of fire-resistant fibres. The fibres were Trevira CS 270, Kanecaron SRY and 50/50 Kermel/Viscose FR. The cursors tested were from the range produced by Reiners and Furst. The yarns produced were examined for their dynamometric behaviour, regularity of mass and hairiness. It was concluded that the latest generation of fibres is very sensitive to the type of solution used in spinning. The most suitable solution for use with Trevira CS 270 is the 2 MIdr, for Kanecaron SRY it is either the 4 CISHfr or the 4 CISMfr, and for the 50/50 Kermel/Viscose FR blend, the 1/0 CISMfr.
