Yarn lubricating agents improve beam warping, sectional warping, weaving, and knitting operations by preventing the development of wear, dust, and fiber fly. The Constant-Lubritwist system on the Volkmann two-for-one twisting machine continuously applies lubricant directly upstream of the inlet into the spindle during twisting, which prevents the lubricant from penetrating the heart of the fiber and minimizes lubricant volume. The lubricant quantity is easily adjustable for different yarn types. A new moistening element for the system facilitates more uniform lubricant transport. The two part moistening element prevents contamination of the yarn by foreign fibers.
