Innovations at ITMA 1999 included vortex spinning machines, condensation spinning machines, and replacement spinboxs for open end spinning machines. Marzoli, Rieter, Suessen, and Zinser manufacture condensation spinning machine for producing yarns that are more compact and stronger than ring spun yarns. Condensation spinning reduces the amount of raw material required to achieve a particular yarn strength. It also reduces the number of twists per meter, which increases output per unit of time. These yarns are less hairy than ring spun weaving uniformity. Murata's 851 MSV vortex based air jet spinning machine operates at a maximum spinning speed of 400 meters per minute and can manufacture 100 percent cotton yarns.
