The draw frame IDF, which is integrated in the card, presents a new type of solution for process shortening by completely eliminating the can transport between the draw frames. Additional simplifications of the can draw frame. A large potential to minimise the can transport volume, however, lies mainly in the application of rectangular cans. Based on this concept, automation methods for rectangular cans in modular succession are shown in the example of a rotor-spinning mill. Here priority is given to a simple and reliable structure, as well as a comprehensible logistic.
