ATME-I 2000: Spinning Technology.

A review of spinning machinery and auxiliary equipment shown at ATME-I 2000 addresses developments in compact spinning, drafting systems, preparatory processes, high speed production, and air jet spinning. Rieter Spinning Systems introduced a new drafting system for ring spinning machines and an automatic card grinding system. Trutzschler GmbH & Company demonstrated several preparatory machines, including the Clean-O-Mat opening machine, 903 carding machine, and HSR-1000 online monitoring system. Marzoli SpA showed a prototype compact spinning machine. Saco Lowell Incorporated showed a compact ring spinning machine and a link spinning machine integrated with a Murata winding machine. Murata Machinery Limited's MVS air jet spinning machine spins cotton staple fibers in counts of Ne 80 and Ne 6 at speeds of up to 400 meters per minute.
