The amount of yarn yielded from given quantity of fibre mixture is the most important criterium of technological effiency, as it influences the price of the former. Thus the question of waste utilisation is 'doomed' to be emphasised. According to Soviet State standard (GOST) the wastes are divided into 6 different groups (I, II, III, IV, V, VI) and numbers (from 1 to 52) regarding art, characteristics and formation place of wastes. GOST does not permit to mix wastes or different numbers and requires their separate further proceeding and packing. Nowadays the main aim of the researchers is to modernise the waste proceeding equipment and technology, thus maintaining the greater output of medium and high slive count yarn as well as non-woven fabrics and wad, the traditional equipment are used, as a rule, as basic models.
