Volkmann GmbH and Co of Germany have patented a new concept in the process of yarn formation, where two rotating open-end positions each deliver separate yarns into a two-for-one twisting spindle. Although it is not yet at the commercialisation stage, the concept could lead to the creation of a new system of making folded yarns.
