Spinnability of local merino wools (Bulgarian)

The effects of fibre length and fibre diameter on the spinnability of Bulgarian merino wools are studied. It is found that 60s wool gives slivers where the maximum fibre length is 76mm. In the case of 64s wool the maximum fibre length is 73 mm. similarly the minimum linear density for 60s wool is 30 tex; that for 64s wool is 25 tex. The mean fibre diameter is 0.30to 0.35 ㎛
