Features of the FCT 3000 continuous filament viscose rayon filament spinning machine are described. The spinning section includes the viscose feeding, filtration and extruding equipment, the spinning bath basins and glass tubes. The treatment and drying section and control system are examined and the take-up is considered. Future developments are expected to be in the following directions: an increase in productivity, production of a 'universal yarn' and fully-automatic bobbin handling
