A Zinser worsted spinning machine retrofitted with a Suessen EliTe spinning system features a drafting system followed by a condensing zone with a profile tube, lattice apron, and delivery top roll. A suction unit places the profile tube under negative pressure. The air flow created by the vacuum and the lattice apron grips the fibers emerging from the drafting zone and transports them toward the oblique edge of a slot on the profile tube, which maximizes fiber strand condensation at the delivery clamping line. Twisting the uniform fiber strand results in a yarn with minimal hairiness, increased strength, improved luster, and higher elasticity. The machine reduces yarn twist by 10-20 percent, which improves the hand of knitwear fabrics.
