A multiple twist spindle system increases production speeds by 100 percent and reduces power consumption by 25-30 percent. Unlike two for one twisting, the yarn unwinds and exits through a ceramic ring guide to descend to the outside of the supply bobbin container. The spindle consists of an inner and outer balloon that creates a yarn path from the supply package along a double ascending/descending path outside the bobbin. Yarn unwinding from the supply package occurs with an unwinding device and a pretensioning, tensioning, and twist stop device. The system bears United States patent number 6,298,648.
