Cognetex SpA and Rieter jointly developed the IDEA COM4 Wool composite spinning machine for wool fibers. The replacement of the draft cylinder with a perforated drum enables the air flow to compact the fibers directly on the draft cylinder. The IDEA CM4 Wool spinning machine is available with conventional or controlled ballon spindles. The reduction of the spinning triangle and controlled balloon winding tension allow high quality spinning at faster machine speeds. Compact yarns offer greater Uster evenness, resistance, elongation, wear resistance, and comfort than do conventional yarns.
