Murata of America Incorporated introduced the latest generations of its MVS 810 Vortex spinning machine and 21C process cone winding machine. The MVS 810 manufactures functional and fashionable yarns at high speeds and low cost. Six different setups give the machine its flexibility. The MVS spinning machine requires less labor per pound of yarn, reduces capital costs, and manufactures yarns with better performance in weaving and knitting than ring spun yarns. The C21 cone winding machine saves on energy consumption and labor costs. A variety of cartridge systems gives the C21 its flexibility. The Perla system combined with a tension control device reduces yarn hairiness.
