In order to exclude impurities and contaminants, compressed air must be conditioned. The process is achieved with an air filter, pressure regulator and lubricator. The types of air regulators are described, together with the processes available for drying compressed air (absorption, adsorption and refrigeration). A table demonstrates the relationship between temperature and water vapour density.
