The basic requirement of all good sports wear, leisure wear, and inner wear are comfort, stretch ability and shape retention. One of the methods to produce yarn for stretch fabrics is introducing elastomeric filament in core and wrapping other filaments around it (corespun yarn). The stretchability and rapid recovery of such yarns depend on various processing parameter. This paper is aimed to throw some light on an experimental study carried out to assess the influence of core pretension and nozzle pressure on various proportions of Lycra/Viscose core spun yarn.
