The development of devices to blend microfibers has dept pace with the development of microfibers. New blending nozzles, designed specifically to blend microfibers during spinning or texturing, are more widely available. A recent study of microfiber blending (using microfibers of between 0.3 and 1.0 dtex) shows that the combination of the Slide Jet FT15 nozzle with P101 or P102 inserts offers a flexible means of blending mocrofibers for the widest range of textile applications.
