The properties of wool fibre wrapped with nylon filament were investigated, with particular reference to the effects of wrapping density. Yarn properties were optimal at medium wrapping densities. The effect of wrapping density on yarn tenacity was similar to that on yarn breaking strength, but no significant effect of yarn linear density on yarn tenacity was observed.
