At ITMA 1995, Cezoma Textilmachinefabriek will exhibit the Tension Control Unit (TCU), a device for controlling yarn tension on the takeup heads of winding machines. Yarn tension on the takeup heads of winding machines. Yarn apckage diameter, upstream dyeing processes, and earlier stages of winding traditionally dictate yarn tension. The TCU simultaneously monitors and maintains the preset tension of four winding heads. The delivery tension can be set at any point betwen 10 centiNewtons and 150 centiNewtons. A second model of the TCU supplies tensions of up to 500 centiNewtons. So that the lengths produced by each winding head will be independent of differences due to yarn fineness and elongation, the TCU may be equipped with four independently operating length-meter wheels that regulate the tension applied by the tensioner discs on each yarn.
