Structural properties of microfibre polyester yarn of around 0.5 and 1.0 dtex were investigated as a function of draw texturing variables, particularly draw ratio and first heater temperature. These properties were very sensitive to the parametrs studied. The draw ratio had less effect than the heater temperature on crystallinity, but had a stronger effect on orientation.
