The aim of this paper is to report a measuring technique which can be used to investigate the stress-relaxation behaviour of wool fibres from zero relaxation time onwards at high straining rates. Results were obtained on Lincoln and merino wool with a gauge length of 5 cm at a straining rate of 120000％/min(1m/s) and 10％ extension.
