Air flows within and outside air-jet texturing and intermingling nozzles are studied by flow measurement and visualization techniques. it is shown that the flows from texturing and intermingling nozzles differ in that texturing nozzles create turbulent, supersonic flows on the primary flow side, whereas flows from intermingling nozzles are mainly subsonic. Both nozzles share asymmetry and non-uniformity of flow. There are 13 references.
