Barmag's AFK draw-texturing machine features automatic positional doffing. Each crimping position is monitored by a Unitens quality sensor. The system tracks yarn packages all the way to the packaging station with the help of a master control system and coded trnasport frames. The AFK can operate at speeds of up to 1,200 meters per minute. The upper heater is a 1-meter high-temperature convection device operating in the temperature range of between 400 and 600 degrees Centigrade. The set heater is a conventional Dowtherm tube heater with optimized heat transfer.
