Rieter's Rietex 10 Flex manufactures three color carpet yarn in a single-stage process with the same quality as a two state process. The Rietex 10 Flex offers productivity improvements of 30-50 percent. The patented arrangement of the intermingling and texturing units allows parallel procesing of individual colors, which combine in the final intermingling step to produce marbled carpet yarn. Yarn titer, texture, and degree of intermingling of each color are separately variable. The Rietex 10 Flex operates at speeds of up to 2,500 meters per minute. The Flex unit can be retrofitted on existing Rietex 10 models.
