This paper reviews the Geminis two-for-one twister, from Savio Macchine Tessili Sril, Italy, examining its ability to process staple fibre yarns with elastomer. It outlines the operations involved in processing with coated elastomer, and with natural elastomer, highlighting that elastomer masking should guarantee less risks of filament breakage, less dyeing defects and hence a better quality product.
