A yarn withdrawal navel assembly for a rotor open-end spinning machine includes a mounting member which protrudes into an open side of the spinning rotor, a yarn withdrawal navel, and at least one holding magnet provided at the mounting member and the navel. The magnetic forces between the navel and the mounting member vary depending on the relative rotational position of the navel and the mounting member, to facilitate selective attachment and detachment of the navel from the mounting member.
