Wet waxing confers optimal properties on yarns or fibrs in preparation for further treatment. Researchers at Kugatextil GmbH tested 14 products for wet waxing from different manufacturers under production conditions. They tested the products for their effect on friction, fogging, abrasion resistance, staining, distribution of coating add-on within the bobbin, and corrosion. 5 refs.
