Kurabo Industries and Kuray of Japan have developed a highly absorbent, quick drying, hollow cotton fibre yarn called Spin Air. The yarn draws moisture into a hollow space within itself so facilitating evaporation. It holds 1.2 times more liquid and absorbs and drys 1.3 times faster than existing types of cotton, making it suitable for towels, shirts, suits and medical applications.
