The Contexxor yarn steaming system manufactured by Xorella of Switzerland provides fully saturated steaming for uniform penetration throughout the yarn package at temepratures from 50-140 degrees centigrade. The system eliminates shock treatment; improves energy recovery through indirect steaming; and provides a constant treatment temperature throughout the vessel. It offers batch-to-batch reproducibility, very low energy consumption, and a short payback period on the initial investment. Options include steam or electric indirect heating, inexpensive paper tubes, and treatment in cartons, boxes, trolleys, or pallets. The system facilitates relaxing, heat setting, and conditioning.
