Rsearchers studied the properties of shingosen fabrics, which are soft, drapable, and lustrous. They used experimental data to compare the surface mechanical properties of shingosen fabrics with silk and silk-like fabrics. Discrimination analysis using representative parameters of these properties identified four hand groups of shingosen fabrics. Mechanical analysis characterized the sensory expression of shingosen fabrics. Researchers examined the relationships between fabric properties and fabric structure.
