Kanebo Gohsen, Ltd. has developed a polyester filament yarn with kneaded-in antibacterial agents for the first time in the textile industry and will start marketing from spring/summer 1998 items under the brand Live Fresh P Neo. The new filament has an ozone sterilization mechanism in which a very small amount of activating enzymes is constantly produced by catalytic actions of silver ions.
