This paper examines the basic fabric properties offered by spandex-containing fabrics. In order to understand warp knit raschel machines, it outlines twelve basic differences between such machines and warp knit tricot machines. In particular, the paper details the properties and advantages of the four stitch constructions used within spandex containing raschel fabris - Gentlissimo, Techsheen, Power Net, and Jersey (Locknit). The paper concludes by offering advice on fabric testing, quality control, and dyeing and finishing, in relation to these fabrics.
