A circular warp-knit gasket for shielding against electromagnetic interference is described in this article. The gasket consists of a knitted core of synthetic monofilament covered by a circular warp-knitted sheath, the sheath is sufficiently conductive to provide protection from a wide range of frequencies. In addition the shielding has good compression under moderate force coupled with good recovery, hence it can be formed into corners without distortion and it minimises torque bias, so providing superior suppleness and conformity to curved irregular surfaces.
