to examine spun yarn untwisting at a constant load, we developed an apparatus for evaluation of untwisting behavior. spun yarn (cotton 100, 40 ne, single yarn) and finished yarn were tested the results demonstrated each of the different behaviors. we think that these various behaviors were caused by process bleaching, dyeing, and sizing. next, we tried to evaluate weaving efficiency of sizing yarn and to test the properties of spun yarns. it becomes clear that effect of sizing can be estimated by maximum untwist turns, and maximum expansion under nutwisting.
