The properties, performance and applications of Danufil deep dye viscose fibre, supplied by Coutaulds European Fibres, Germany, are presented. Following an outline of the development of the fibre, the results of trials carried out to compare standard and deep dye fibres with respect to yarn properties and dyeing are listed. The intended application of the fibre are also discussed.
