This article describes how a texturized glass fibre, recently developed by Owens Corning, called EB8 can be sized with chemicals that are not removed by conventional glass finishing techniques. The company says that the yarn combines the traditional properties of E-glass with improved corrosion performance and has good resistance to heat because of its high melting point.
